Manufactured in 316l
stainless steel, the Uni-Dust cyclone is a hygienic method
of capturing excess dust in the controlled environment of
the process room. The equipment is designed to be
retrofitted to any dust generating plant; process validation
is not effected, making it ideal for both new and existing
processes. In-line with cGMP the Uni-Dust makes loss
reconciliation a simple matter.

The cyclone separates the
solids from the clean air, typically capturing 95-99% of
excess powder in a collection pot, the air is then passed
through an optional “police” HEPA filter which increases
system efficiency to 99.99% before the clean rather than
contaminated air flows to the normal dust extraction unit.
Both the collection pot and the HEPA filter can be supplied
as a safe change design offering a total containment
The Hanningfield Uni-Dust
cyclone allows collection of these waste materials to be
kept within the controlled environment of the process room.
A further benefit of collecting these excess materials in
the process room is batch loss reconciliation, hence
offering vast efficiency improvement.
Batch losses can be
verified and recorded by removing the powder collection
container at the base of the cyclone and weighing the
contents. If required, the powder collector can have a
The filter-less cyclone
design offers extremely high collection efficiency, in some
cases to almost 100%. However, to maintain total integrity,
a HEPA filter with safe-storage filters should be installed
on the dust extraction line from the cyclone chamber.
A number of configurations
are possible, allowing the cyclone to be integrated into
various system applications.
